Wood Burning Missey a Morgan Horse

I wanted to share some of the details of how I produced this piece for my Mother-in-Law. I cannot tell you how relaxing and rewarding this is. I might have to start up a side business since I am getting so many requests. As a tech person to go back to a hobby that has been around for centuries the hand tools and wood in my hands feels so natural.

I penciled in the solid black areas

After I traced the picture with a box cutter

I wanted to show the paper after I traced it 

After i finished the shading with pencil

Most of the way finished

I used the round burner tip for the grooves I carved
